Thread

Just in time for our Christmas Open House, a splendid range of Wonderfil thread for the home quilter and sewer. 100% cotton Konfetti, Spaghetti, Tutti and Frutti - sounds more like a meal than a thread choice but you’ll see what a terrific line this is. Add to that a selection of Deco Bob and InvisaFil (now they sound more like thread) and we’re sure to have exactly what you need in a varied selection of weights. To visit Wonderfil, just click here.

Just Arrived - a 2nd Gammill

No kidding, before our Christmas Open House we received a Limited Edition Classic Plus. As you can see, it’s red of course. Her name is Red Red Valentine (but we just call her Val). We’re very excited about this new addition to the Red Red Bobbin family as it opens up a range of new class and time rental offerings to our clients without disrupting our quilting services timetable. Come see for yourself.

Fabric

Well, as winter rolls around our fabric seems to be multiplying in the dark! What started off as a few hundred bolts of select designer quilting cottons has grown to over 1200 bolts of scrumptious potential. Designs from modern stars  Kaffe Fassett, Brandon Mably, Philip Jacobs, Martha Negley, Melissa White, Terri Mangat, Tula Pink, Kim Schaeffer and Gail Kessler share shelf space with a cast of supporting characters to provide you with a choice previously unavailable in this area.

Add to that a range of winter Christmas fabric from In the Beginning, Northcott, and Robert Kaufmann and, well, you start to get the picture. Come and discover what one of our customers called: “the best little quilt shop I’ve ever been in . . . and great prices too.”

We’re also stocking a variety of pleasant 108” backing material for your convenience.

Just Quilted:

This beautiful batik 9-patch called “Orient Express,” 82” x 92” by Donna Marshall of Woodstock was a treat to quilt with its excellent squareness and crisp construction. Donna’s unique use of colour adds a whole other dimension to the traditional 9-patch pattern. A variegated thread for the top and bobbin and a simple, yet effective Ginko leaf pattern beautifully compliments the piecing. The final result is absolutely charming.
