Well, summer is rapidly progressing and we’ve been busy in the studio. The old carpet is gone and the pine floors have been refinished to a honey lustre. A new coat of paint compliments the floor and the room literally dances with light.

Some new shelves have been added to house the unique and beautiful 100% cotton quilting fabric we are now stocking. Most of this fabric has not been  previously available in the area including designs by Kaffe Fassett, Brandon Mably, Philip Jacobs, Nancy Crow, unique batiks

and more! Fabric is available off the bolt or in fat quarters.

We’re also stocking a variety of stunning 108” backing material for your convenience.

Just Quilted:

T
his beautiful “Batik Maze,”  72” x 83” by Mary Compton of Nanaimo, British Columbia was a delight to work on. The bold batik colours called out for a bright, variegated thread and a customized feather meandering pattern complimented the rectangular design. Upon receiving her quilted top, Mary wrote to us to say: “You did a beautiful job, I love the thread and your choice of design . . . Thank you for your quick service and beautiful result.” Click on the picture to the right for a larger view and for a detail shot please click Batik Maze Detail.jpg
