What is
Sewing Seeds?
The purpose of Sewing Seeds is to share, in a welcoming and friendly environment, our joy of sewing with all: ourselves, our communities and beyond. Amen.
We work on quilts for the Quilts of Valour - Canada initiative: providing quilts to the returning wounded brave men and women of our Armed Forces (see our first five pictured below). We are also stitching lap quilts for local long-term care facilities and many more for the Children’s Aid Society.

To date we have been blessed with contributions from area service clubs, local supporters and many, many donations of fabric, thread, and even unfinished quilt tops from folks throughout southern Ontario. When Don Cherry read about our work for the Armed Forces he graciously sent us ten autographed ties as colourful as he, to be used in our quilts. All these donations enable us to continue our work and we are truly grateful for them.
For more information about Sewing Seeds or to make a donation, call either Jim or Louise at 519-770-3580.
Everyone is welcome as we stitch through the year.
We meet on Thursday afternoons from 1:00 - 4:00 at the spacious Bellview Community Hall, 55 Tom Street in Brantford.
